Apple TV+’s beloved sci-fi series Severance is returning after a two-year hiatus.New information has come for the series, which has reached large audiences despite being broadcast for one season. Accordingly, the first official trailer for Severance season two has been released.
When will Severance season two be released?
The first trailer for the second season of Severance, Apple TV+’s popular science fiction-thriller series, has been released. The series, which explores the concept of separating work and personal memories, will return on January 17, 2025 with nine episodes.
For those who haven’t seen it before, Severance centers on employees at Lumon Industries who go through a procedure called “severance pay” that separates their work/personal memories. The critically acclaimed first season was nominated for 14 Emmys.
The trailer explores the main character Mark’s inner and outer world connections. Mark, played by Adam Scott, is seen running through the sterile corridors of Lumon Industries. When he enters the Macro Data Optimization department, he finds that Helly, Irving and Dylan have been replaced by new employees.
Series producer Dan Erickson will work with director and producer Ben Stiller for the second season. Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Tramell Tillman and Christopher Walken will reprise their roles.
Gwendoline Christie, Alia Shawkat, Bob Balaban, Bob Balaban, Merritt Wever, Robby Benson and many more will join the cast in the new season. John Turturro also said that the second season will continue to tackle the unanswered mysteries from the first season.
